Tawanda has over 12 years of actuarial experience with Old Mutual where he joined as an Actuarial Trainee, after graduating from the University of Zimbabwe with a BSc Degree in Mathematics and Geology and rose through the ranks to become actuarial manager. In his capacity, he was involved in the preparation of actuarial valuations and providing Employee Benefits to clients with actuarial advice, he holds an MBA degree and also pursuing actuarial studies with the faculty of Actuaries – Scotland and currently on final stages of obtaining a PhD in Leadership in Africa through Africa University (Zambia).

A science graduate turned marketer and business leader, with wide actuarial and fi nancial services marketing experience at senior management levels. Most of the experience is credited to employment by three Zimbabwean Financial Institutions; i.e. Old Mutual, Intermarket Life and Zimnat Life. He left the financial services as a Business Development Manager to form Lopdale Investments. As a Business Development Manager he was responsible for strategy development, implementation and product development
An effective thinker, doer, communicator, offering proven business leadership transformational marketing, strategy development and business analysis at executive levels.
Able to work effectively with all levels of staff in an organization, with special ability to spearhead and manage change, maintain and improve quality system, achieve targets and also a troubleshooter. He is an honorary lecturer for an MBA program and has supervised a number of consultancy carried under the program

A humble beginner with the now defunct firm of chartered accountants Stratton Hecht & Partner from 1973 to 1978 as accounting officer. In 1979 to 1980, he was accounting assistant with British Leyland. In 1980 to 1986 he was appointed Group Assistant Accountant within Lonrho Group and rose to Group Accountant from 1986 to 1993.
In 1993 he resigned the accountancy profession to join First Mutual Life as Executive Insurance Producer. In his first year he became a hit in insurance Industry by Qualifying for the American Million Dollar Round Table. This is a rare achievement in Insurance Industry, not only in this country, but in the whole world. Monday was involved in marketing, mainly Individual Life and Pensions and Group Business as well unit Trusts, First Mutual Life through to year 2002. Monday is a firm believer in self development and a visionary. He has traveled worldwide on Insurance business to countries like Egypt, Israel, Switzerland, UK and USA. Monday has a Diploma in Accountancy and an Associate of Faculty of Secretaries and Administrators of UK.
